Temptation

This frail old man was walking down the street carrying a huge bouquet of flowers. I would like to be believe that it was for his old, clandestine lover, displayed only in the semblance of the flowers, otherwise hidden. At his age, it doesn't matter who he loves as long as he does.

Last night a man was carrying a large gift basket of crackers, etc. wrapped in cellophane, struggling to get it settled on his lap as he adjusted his messenger bag, the wrapping poking the underside of his neck, his hands lifting, deciding, questioning, experimenting, finally determined, contented.

Lunch with Suri and Kevo. Arcade Fire. Slowly crystallized cut-out snowflakes.

Hugs as from bear hugs. Happy Valentine's day. Sex poems from Slate.

These things always make me smile.
